Red Cross visits former Artsakh officials held captive in Baku; What are Russian peacekeepers doing in Artsakh? Past day recapped
In April, ICRC delegates once again visited Armenian political and military figures held captive in Azerbaijan. Head of the Public Relations Department of the ICRC Office in Azerbaijan Ilaha Huseynova said this.
As reported, private meetings were held with the officials; they were given an opportunity to contact their families.
As noted, under its mandate, the ICRC assesses the treatment that the detainees get and the conditions of their detention. The ICRC also creates conditions for individuals to restore or continue contact with their families.
