Tell us and we’ll tear it down: Cultural institutions targeted by authorities
When Cervantes was writing Don Quixote in 1605, he could not even imagine that 419 years after the most famous scene of the novel, the fight with the windmills, the Armenian authorities would, first, misunderstand it and second, start using it as a strategic guide. For almost a year now, the authorities have been fighting against various buildings in Yerevan, which are mainly educational and cultural institutions with historical significance and often unique architecture.
