Artsakh ombudsman: The MP from the ruling party connects the democratic regression with the problems facing the displaced persons from Artsakh
It turns out that the reason for the decline in the index of democracy in Armenia is the problems facing the displaced persons from Artsakh. Human Rights Defender (Ombudsman) of Artsakh Gegham Stepanyan wrote this on his Facebook page.
“The MP from the ruling party connects the democratic regression or slowdown mentioned in the Freedom House report with the problems facing the displaced persons from Artsakh, saying that the state agencies have been busy with the problems of the displaced persons and were slow in developing democracy.
So we fail to notice the beating of a person under police control, but the financial problems of the people of Artsakh are the reason for the slowdown of democracy.
The blame for everything negative in Armenia is laid at the door of the people from Artsakh. And this is being done in a targeted way.
All this is disgusting, dear “sisters and brothers”.
“I hope that the Armenian representatives of Freedom House will comment on this statement made by the MP from the ruling party,” he wrote.
