Earthquake occurs in Armenia-Azerbaijan border zone
At 8:40 p.m. (4:40 p.m. GMT) on May 7, an earthquake, measuring 2.0 on the Richter scale, occurred on the Armenia-Azerbaijan border zone, 19 kilometers north of the village of Shoghakat, the RA MIA Seismic Protection Territorial Survey says.
The earthquake happened at a depth of 10 kilometers at latitude 40.67⁰ north and at longitude 45.31⁰ east.
In the epicenter, the earthquake registered a magnitude of 2–3.
The tremors were felt in the town of Chambarak, in Ttujur, Aygut and Drakhtik villages of Gegharkunik Province, with a magnitude of 2–3.
