Azerbaijani prosecutor requests 15-year jail sentence for Vagif Khachatryan

Another court hearing on Vagif Khachatryan’s case was held
at the Baku Military Court.

The prosecutor requested a 15-year prison sentence for Vagif
Khachatryan. The investigation into the trumped-up criminal case has been
completed.

To remind, Vagif Khachatryan was abducted from the ICRC
vehicle on his way to Yerevan from Artsakh. He was coming to Armenia to undergo
medical treatment.

Azerbaijan has brought serious charges against Khachatryan.
However, he does not plead guilty, noting that he has not been engaged in
military operations, let alone in acts of “genocide”.
