A strike at a number of universities; marches and closed streets. On May 10, classrooms were empty at Yerevan State University, while corridors were crowded. Students called on other students to join the strike. Apart from Yerevan State University, students of other universities in Yerevan went on strike as well. Strikes were also carried out in Dilijan.

In the evening, a rally was staged in Republic Square. Archbishop Bagrat called for acts of peaceful disobedience from the next day.
