The farewell ceremony for Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and other victims of Sunday’s helicopter crash has started in Tabriz, IRNA news agency reports.
After the farewell ceremony, President Raisi’s body will be moved to his native city of Mashhad, where the funeral will take place on May 23.
To remind, on May 19, the helicopter carrying Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi crashed in the northwest of the country. Afterward, news came in that the president and other high-ranking officials were killed in the crash.
