On May 20, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians Garegin II sent a letter of condolence to Supreme Leader of Iran Seyyed Ali Hosseini Khamenei in connection with the tragic deaths of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and other officials on board the crashed helicopter.
On behalf of the Supreme Spiritual Council and the Brotherhood of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, His Holiness expressed condolences to the bereaved families of the victims and to the people of Iran, praying that God will help the Islamic Republic of Iran cope with the difficulty.
