US State Department: It’s the Iranian government that is “responsible” for the decision to fly a 45-year-old helicopter to carry Raisi in poor weather conditions

Commenting on the plane crash involving Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, Spokesperson for the U.S. Department of State Matthew Miller said that the Iranian authorities themselves are to blame for flying a helicopter, which has been in use for 45 years, in poor weather conditions, RIA Novosti writes.

At a press briefing, Miller noted that it’s the Iranian government that is “responsible” for the decision to fly a 45-year-old helicopter to carry Raisi in poor weather conditions.
