The relations between Iran and Armenia have adversaries: Khamenei to Pashinyan
At a meeting with Supreme Leader of Iran Ali Khamenei today, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan expressed condolences on behalf of the Armenian people in connection with the tragic deaths of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and other officials, IRNA writes.
Greatly appreciating the Armenian prime minister’s words of condolence, Ayatollah Khamenei emphasized the historical and geographic commonality and common interests of Iran and Armenia. Pointing out the Armenian prime minister’s remark on strategic relations, Khamenei added:
“I am highlighting the promotion of cooperation based on the strategic nature of relations, but the important thing is that the relations between Iran and Armenia have adversaries, which is why the issues related to both countries should be approached with caution and attention.”
