The U.S. House of Representatives has passed a Republican
bill to provide aid worth $14.3 billion to Israel.
The bill was adopted by a vote of 226 to 196. The
Republicans supported the project, while the Democrats rejected it.
U.S. President Joe Biden has threatened to veto the bill as
he asked the Congress to approve an emergency spending package worth $106
billion, which includes funding for Israel, Taiwan and Ukraine, as well as
humanitarian aid.
