Weightlifter Simon Martirosyan acquitted

After two years of ceaseless and hard struggle,
multiple-time world champion Simon Martirosyan has been acquitted. Martirosyan
was charged with Article 242, Part 2 of the RA Criminal Code for causing a
fatal car accident. Martirosyan’s Advocate Ruben Baloyan made a Facebook post
on this.

To remind, in April 2021, Weightlifting World Champion and
Olympic Silver Medalist Simon Martirosyan was charged with Article 242, Part 2
of the RA Criminal Code (Violating the requirements for road traffic safety or
operation rules of road traffic or transports by a person driving a car or
other mechanical means of transport, which has negligently caused human death).
