If we had an interior minister, he might meet with the Holy Father, but since he is Nikol’s best friend, he certainly will not. MP Anna Mkrtchyan from the opposing NA With Honor faction said this to ABC Media.
“When the function of the so-called interior minister of the country is only to make sure that Nikol Pashinyan does not suddenly meet the people of Armenia, it means that this is a seat-worshiping group formed to cover up its own crimes,” the MP said.
Referring to the use of force by police against MP Ashot Simonyan yesterday, Mkrtchyan noted that it was not a use of force but Nikol Pashinyan’s instruction.
“They had been instructed to demonstratively punish the RA NA Opposition MP, whose immunity should have been guaranteed by law, and the person who was beating the MP should have been the one to guarantee it. Police officers are said to be the guarantors of the immunity of Armenian MPs,” Mkrtchyan said.
