Russian Deputy Foreign Minister: The EAEU has not only proved its effectiveness, but also has become a ‘fist’
Membership in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) benefits absolutely all member states, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Pankin told TASS.
“For example, in 2023, the GDP of all the members of the union increased. The economic growth rate of each of the five members exceeded the world rate (3.2%, according to IMF). In Armenia it was 8.7%, in Kyrgyzstan 6.2%, in Kazakhstan 5.1% and in Belarus 3.9%,” Pankin noted.
In 2015-2023, the industrial production volumes of the union’s member states increased by 25.4%, while the volumes of agricultural production increased by almost 30%. According to Pankin, they aim to expand and strengthen further cooperation with their EAEU partners, as well as with third parties interested in establishing a dialogue with the union. According to the Russian deputy foreign minister, the union carries considerable weight in the world.
“The EAEU has not only found its place and proved its effectiveness, but has also learned to rely on itself to achieve the common goal, thus becoming a ‘fist’ when all five fingers work together, not separately,” the official noted.
