The registration of candidates for the 14th presidential election of Iran officially started this morning at 8:00 a.m. Tehran time, IRNA writes.
The registration of candidates for the presidential elections takes place at the Ministry of Interior of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
This process will end on June 3. In the period between June 4 and June 10, the Guardian Council of Iran will examine each applicant’s compliance with the requirements.
Men aged 40 to 75 who are Iranian citizens and hold at least a master’s degree are eligible to apply. After the Council processes applications, Iran’s Ministry of Interior will announce the names of approved candidates on June 11. Afterward, an election campaign will get underway, which will last until June 26.
