Mishustin: Armenia has increased its exports to the EAEU market 14 times
Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin announced that Armenia has increased its exports to the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) market 14 times, and the growth of the country’s GDP has exceeded 8.5%. According to Armenpress, the Russian prime minister said this in an interview with Russia 24 TV channel on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the EAEU.
Mishustin said all five member states benefit from membership in the Eurasian Economic Union, noting that this is primarily a result of the lack of customs control at internal borders.
“Due to preferential access, mutual trade has expanded in general. For example, Armenia has increased its exports to the union’s market 14 times, Belarus and Kazakhstan more than twice, and Kyrgyzstan thrice,” the Russian prime minister said.
He also touched on the growth of the GDP of the EAEU member states, noting that the previous year’s results exceeded world rates.
