Zakharova: The transport potential of the South Caucasus has not been unlocked
At a press briefing, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Maria Zakharova spoke about the Upper Lars and Nizhniy Zaramag “transport corridors”.
She noted that Russia pays great attention to existing and newly developing international transport corridors. “Plans are afoot to create a unified Eurasian logistics infrastructure that would allow diversifying the transportation of goods in a safer and more reliable way,” Zakharova said, noting that they consider Upper Lars and Nizhniy Zaramag important platforms.
She noted that the transport potential of the South Caucasus has not been unlocked, including because of Armenian-Azerbaijani conflicts.
