Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and U.S. Department of State Senior Advisor for Caucasus Negotiations Louis Bono discussed the peace process between Baku and Yerevan. Bayramov presented the situation in the region in the post-conflict period, the negotiations between Armenia and Azerbaijan over normalization and the peace process, as well as the latest developments in the peace agenda.
He noted that the cession of four villages by Armenia to Azerbaijan once again proved the effectiveness of the bilateral negotiations in building regional peace and trust. Bono said that the processes taking place in the region raise hopes for further peacekeeping activities and expressed Washington’s readiness to help in the negotiation process.
