Armenia has been elected a member of the U.N. Economic and Social Council with 148 votes in favor in the voting held at the U.N. Headquarters in New York, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reports.
“We would like to thank the partner states of Armenia for their support.
Armenia is committed to contributing to international cooperation toward the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development,” the ministry said.
