Martin Schüepp: The Red Cross provides assistance to Armenians left in Artsakh

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) provides
humanitarian aid to the people who have decided to remain in Artsakh after it
came under Azerbaijani control. As RIA Novosti reports, ICRC Director of
Operations Martin Schüepp said this.

“Today, a small number of people stay in their homes, either
as they have decided to do so, or as they cannot leave on their own, probably
because of their advanced age or disabilities. Some of them need medical
assistance, others food or water. We do our best to help those who really need
help, whether it suggests providing water, medicine, or helping them contact
their family members or get transport,” Schüepp said.
