US State Department: It is for the Armenian government to decide whether to leave the CSTO or not
The U.S. Department of State presented Washington’s stance on Armenia’s possible withdrawal from the CSTO, saying that such a decision is within the jurisdiction of Yerevan.
“This is for the government of Armenia to decide, and we respect it. We have not seen anything that would testify that Russia’s military presence contributes to the South Caucasus being a more peaceful and stable region,” the State Department said in response to the request of the Armenian service of Voice of America.
