Iranian mountaineer found dead on Mount Ararat
The Turkish Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) under the Government of Turkey reported on the death of an Iranian mountaineer, Ermenihaber writes.
As mentioned, three Iranian mountaineers started to climb Mount Ararat on the morning of June 14. Having reached the top, one of them tripped and died after falling down.
Based on the alarm received from other mountaineers, AFAD started search and rescue operations. As a result, the body of Akber Helil, an Iranian by origin, was found only five days later, on June 19.
It is noted that search and rescue operations lasted five days due to adverse weather conditions.
