The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of Palestine welcomed the statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia on recognizing Palestine as an independent state.
The ministry emphasized the depth of historical and brotherly relations between the Armenian and Palestinian peoples, noting that the recognition of Palestinian statehood, reflecting the authenticity of historical relations, is consistent with international law and all relevant U.N. resolutions.
The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates considers Armenia’s decision a real contribution to peace and a practical step to support the internationally accepted two-state solution, as well as the efforts aimed to establish stability and peace in the Middle East.
