The EU will provide the population of Gaza, affected by the
Israeli-Hamas conflict, with humanitarian aid worth 50 million euros. President
of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen said this.
“Tomorrow, Oct. 27, we will sign contracts worth 40 million
euros with U.N. agencies. And the other 10 million will be used for two air
bridge flights via Egypt,” she said.
Since the conflict resumed, the EU has provided the
population of Gaza with humanitarian aid of 75 million euros. Another 56 tons
of aid has been sent via Egypt.
