Scholz blames Russia for refusing dialogue on Ukraine
In his speech in the Bundestag, Chancellor of Germany Olaf Scholz accused Russia of “refusing to engage in dialogue” on the peaceful settlement of the conflict in Ukraine.
“Russia does not want peace, but Ukraine wants it justly, without subordination or fear of new aggression,” Scholz said.
German users on X accused the chancellor of denying reality, questioning if he himself wants peace, and accusing him of provoking conflict.
