Seyran Ohanyan: The depopulation of Artsakh has not settled the conflict

The Artsakh conflict remains open. Leader of the NA Armenia
Alliance Seyran Ohanyan said this at a press briefing.

“The depopulation of Artsakh has not settled the conflict.
Let us note that there is no alternative to the negotiations in the existing
format, aimed at preserving the international legal personality of Artsakh,
ensuring its people’s security, and why not, protecting it in the future,” he
said.

Ohanyan noted that Aliyev has fully benefited from the
negotiation process and has taken everything that he needed from the
West.

As he put it, that is the reason why Aliyev refused to
attend the meeting in Brussels.

“Aliyev committed depopulation and ethnic cleansing
activities in Artsakh. At this stage, we can say that he has achieved his aim.
I think that in the future, his primary goal will be the conclusion of the
peace treaty with Armenia, which will be mainly aimed at keeping Armenia under
pressure for the unblocking of the so-called “Zangezur corridor”
infrastructure,” Ohanyan said.
