Aliyev thanks Tokayev for supporting Armenian-Azerbaijani talks
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev thanked his Kazakh counterpart Kassym-Jomart Tokayev for his support in determining the ways to reach a peace treaty between Yerevan and Baku, Tokayev’s press service reported after the meeting of the leaders of the two countries in Astana.
Tokayev, for his part, greatly appreciated the development of Kazakh-Azerbaijani comprehensive cooperation, which goes forward in the spirit of “strategic partnership and alliance”. The president of Kazakhstan recalled his recent visit to Baku and Shushi, which, as he said, was “historic in its significance”. “During the talks, we gave a major boost to further cooperation in a number of strategic spheres,” the Kazakh president noted.
