Iranian ambassador to Armenia: Regional issues should be solved within the region; The great devil, America, does not want the good of the peoples of the region
We believe that regional issues should be solved within the region, Iranian Ambassador to Armenia Mehdi Sobhani told the press at the Iranian Embassy in Armenia.
“If any tense situation, any war breaks out in the region, it will have an impact and consequences for the peoples living in the region. Therefore, when we say 3+3, it is the engagement of the countries of the region and those countries that are in conflict with each other, within which we must achieve lasting peace.
This should be considered within one complete package. Not only the political aspect should be considered, but also economic issues, trade issues, issues of mutual visits of the peoples living in the region,” Sobhani said.
Referring to the role of the U.S. in regional issues, the ambassador noted: “They are trying to turn the Caucasus into a platform to take revenge on other countries. Having experience with the great devil, America, we are very pessimistic about their statements. We do not believe that they want the good of the peoples of the region. They are so far away that the tension will not even affect them.”
