29 years after the adoption of the Constitution, a demand for a new Constitution from the enemy

Four years after the declaration of independence, there were discussions in the hall of the Supreme Council on the adoption of the Constitution. People who had lived under the laws of the Soviet Union for many years said yes to the Constitution in a referendum on this day 29 years ago.

In those days either, things were not going smoothly; not enough of those eligible to vote showed up in the election, and the Government decided to extend the duration of the election by a few hours. Many politicians considered this a gross violation of law, while the authorities justified themselves, saying that such were the times. After all, on July 5, 1995, Armenia adopted the Constitution in a popular referendum. Details in the video:
