Within the framework of the INNOPROM-2024 exhibition, a meeting was held between Minister of Trade of the European Economic Community Andrey Slepnev and UAE Minister of State for Foreign Trade Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi.
The parties welcomed the good progress in the negotiations on the economic partnership agreement between the EAEU and the UAE and highlighted their desire to conclude them in the fall.
“We highly appreciate the positive attitude of the Emirati side. Trade between our countries continues to grow steadily, and this will surely help us jointly address all the remaining issues in the negotiations,” Slepnev said.
The Supreme Eurasian Economic Council made the decision to start negotiations with the UAE in December 2022. Three rounds of negotiations have been held so far. The next round of negotiations is expected in September of this year.
