Estonian prime minister resigns

Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas and the country’s government have resigned; they will continue to work until a new cabinet takes over, RIA Novosti writes.

The Estonian media reported earlier on July 12 about Kallas’s intention to quit the post.

The reason for this decision is that Kallas has been put up as a candidate for the head of EU diplomacy instead of Josep Borrell. The post of head of the Estonian government may be taken up by the country’s climate minister, Kristen Michal.
