State Duma postpones discussion of bill allowing use of Armenian driving licenses

The State Duma has decided to indefinitely postpone the
discussion of the issue of allowing the use of Armenian driving licenses for
entrepreneurial and business activities, RIA Novosti reports.

“The State Duma deputies have decided to indefinitely
postpone the discussion of the bill on allowing the use of Armenian driving
licenses in Russia while carrying out entrepreneurial and business activities.
The bill introduced by the Government got its first reading in June, 2022,” the
press service of the State Duma reported. 

Chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin noted that the
bill suggests giving Armenia additional advantages, despite the fact that the
Armenian MPs, leadership and government have not taken any steps to improve the
status of the Russian language in Armenia.
