Israeli army announces elimination of half of Hamas leadership

The Israeli army reported that half of the leadership of the armed wing of Palestinian Hamas movement has been destroyed throughout the nine-month war in the Gaza Strip, noting that about 14,000 fighters of the movement have been killed or captured, RIA Novosti reports.

“Until now, the Israel Defense Forces have hit nearly 37,000 targets and over 25,000 terrorist infrastructure and launch pads in the Gaza Strip,” the Israeli military added.
