A police officer was critically injured in a stabbing attack in Paris’ Champs Elysees shopping district on July 18, Reuters writes, referring to the Paris police chief.
The incident happened after a security guard at a boutique called police, having spotted a man who appeared to be carrying a knife.
The attacker was also critically injured, the police chief told reporters.
Paris police called on people to avoid the Champs Elysees area. Armed police officers have cordoned off the famous avenue.
