Earthquake in Georgia felt in Armenian’s Tavush, Lori and Kotayk provinces

At 12:08 p.m. local time on July 22, an earthquake, measuring 4.8 on the Richter scale, happened 36 kilometers southeast of the town of Gurjaani, Georgia, the RA MIA Seismic Protection Territorial Survey says.

The earthquake happened at a depth of 10 kilometers, registering a magnitude of 6–7 at the epicenter.

The tremors were felt in Armenia’s Tavush Province with a magnitude of 5–6, in the cities of Alaverdi and Vanadzor in Lori Province with a magnitude of 4, and in the town of Hrazdan in Kotayk Province with a magnitude of 3.
