Earthquake occurs in Iran
An earthquake measuring 4.5 on the Richter scale happened in the east of Iran, near the border with Afghanistan, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre reported.
The earthquake happened at a depth of 35 kilometers. The epicenter was located 131 kilometers north-east of the Iranian city of Birjand with a population of about 196,000.
There have been no reports of casualties or damage.
