The German police prevented a terror attack in Berlin’s Breitscheidplatz a few hours before the Spain-England UEFA Euro 2024 final, The Sun reports, referring to its sources.
“The target of the terrorists was the fan zone for the fans of the England national football team in Berlin’s Breitscheidplatz. The German police arrested three suspects during inspections, thanks to which the terror act was prevented,” the magazine writes.
The article says all the suspects were previously included on the police’s suspect list. According to the sources, a photo of the square in Berlin and the church there was found on their phones.
