Netanyahu arrives in US to meet Biden, Harris and Trump

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu arrived in the U.S. where he will meet President Joe Biden, Vice-President Kamala Harris, and then most probably Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump.

Regardless of who wins the election in November, Israel’s relations with its main ally will have to be adjusted, the BBC writes.

U.S. President Joe Biden is expected to meet with the Israeli prime minister at the White House.

Biden and Netanyahu are expected to discuss ways to achieve a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas in Gaza, issues related to Iran and other topics.

Netanyahu will also have a separate meeting with Kamala Harris, who is now expected to lead the Democratic Party in the race for the U.S. presidential election. If Harris wins, the Israeli prime minister will have to deal with a new U.S. president, whose views on Israel’s problems significantly differ from those of Biden’s.
