Biden says it’s time to ‘pass torch to Harris’
U.S. President Joe Biden has told Americans in a televised address that it’s time to “pass the torch to a new generation” as he sought to explain the historic decision to end his re-election campaign, the BBC writes.
This marked Biden’s first public appearance since he exited the race.
To remind, on July 21, U.S. President Joe Biden announced his withdrawal from the presidential election race and endorsed the country’s Vice President Kamala Harris.
Meanwhile, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump said at a rally that Ms. Harris was a “radical left lunatic”.
