3.7 earthquake occurs in Russia’s Tuapse
On July 27, two earthquakes occurred in Tuapse, Kuban, Russia, RIA Novosti reports, noting that no casualties or damage were caused.
Earlier, Tuapse’s authorities reported that at about 9:30 a.m. Moscow time, an earthquake measuring 3.7 on the Richter scale occurred in the area between Tuapse and Lazarevskoe, 40 kilometers from the coast, at a depth of five kilometers. There were no reports of casualties or damage.
“The second shock, which registered a magnitude of 3.7, happened in Tuapse at 11:19 a.m. It is noted that the epicenter of the earthquake was located in the sea between Tuapse and Lazarevskoe, at a depth of 4.6 kilometers from the coast,” the news agency reported.
