Israel promises painful response, while Lebanon is waiting

Hezbollah will pay a heavy price, the likes of which it has never paid, Israel threatened Lebanese Hezbollah. New cracks are emerging in the already fragile Middle East.

The Iranian missiles were merely a pretext for Israel. The roots of the escalation are deeper. Israel is trying to end Hezbollah’s activities in Lebanon in order to pave the way for itself, first into Palestine and, in the distant future, into the entire Middle East.

Also surprising was the response from the Israeli-held Golan, where the Lebanese missiles had landed. More than 10 people were killed there, and 34 were injured, including children. High-ranking Jewish officials were not allowed to attend their funerals. Israel has not digested what happened and will not delay the retaliation.
