Bangladesh’s parliament was dissolved on Tuesday, a day after Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina resigned, Reuters writes.
Protesting student leaders set a deadline for the dissolution of the parliament until 3:00 p.m. local time on Aug. 6, warning a “strict program” would be launched if their deadline is not met.
According to The New Age magazine, government officials in capital Dhaka are leaving their workplaces in panic, fearing for their safety.
