Talks on Gaza to be held in Doha
The next round of talks on the settlement of the situation in the Gaza Strip is scheduled for Aug. 15 in Qatar. The Israeli delegation will be headed by Director of Mossad David Barnea, Dmitri Gendelman, an adviser to the Office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, told TASS.
The leaders of Egypt, Qatar and the U.S. issued a joint statement on Aug. 9, calling on Israel and Hamas to resume negotiations on a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip on Aug. 15 in Doha or Cairo. The mediators also announced their readiness to submit a final draft of the agreement, which is based on the principles put forward by U.S. President Joe Biden and protected by U.N. Security Council Resolution 2735.
