The Iranian Navy is conducting military exercises in the Caspian Sea in the north of the country, Mehr news agency reported, referring to the deputy governor of Astara.
It is noted that naval exercises of the Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran will be held this evening in the territory of the Astara naval base.
“In connection with the exercises, explosions will be heard in some regions of the city of Astara, so there are no reasons to be worried,” reads the statement.
