On Sept. 2, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan had a telephone conversation with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev. Erdogan congratulated Aliyev on the convincing victory of the New Azerbaijan Party in the parliamentary election.
Erdogan expressed confidence that the election was held under free and democratic conditions and reflected the “will of the Azerbaijani people”.
To remind, on Sept. 1 parliamentary election was held in Azerbaijan. The results of 91% of the polling stations show that the ruling New Azerbaijan Party won the majority of votes.
