On Sept. 9, on the occasion of the 76th anniversary of the creation of the republic, North Korean leader Kim Jong Un announced that the country’s armed forces should be ready to use nuclear capabilities at any time to protect security interests. The Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) reported, referring to Kim Jong Un.
The head of the country noted that the security situation requires Pyongyang to develop its military power. “The clear conclusion is that the DPRK’s nuclear capabilities must be secured and ready to be used at any time to protect the state’s security rights,” he said.
