The EU is going to slightly reduce proposed additional tariffs on electric cars imported from China, including Tesla models, Bloomberg writes, citing its sources.
According to them, the additional rate of Tesla will be reduced from 9% to 8%. Similar adjustments will affect other automakers. The decision was made after the companies received new information.
The new maximum rate for non-cooperating producers from China will be 35.3% instead of 36.3%.
EU countries must vote on the final tariff rates, which will come into effect in November. These will be subject to the current 10% Chinese export duties.
