Ukrainian conflict cannot be negotiated without Russia’s involvement

It will not be possible to resolve the Ukrainian conflict through negotiations without Russia’s participation. As Business Standard writes, Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar said this at the Geneva Centre for Security Policy.

“India is one of the few countries that can talk to both Russia and Ukraine to find a non-combat solution,” Jaishankar said.

The minister noted that negotiations cannot take place with the participation of only one of the conflicting parties and all the forces supporting it. Jaishankar also included Saudi Arabia and the UAE in the list of countries that can mediate in the negotiations.
