Arman Tatoyan: For Azerbaijan, every resident of Armenia and Artsakh is the bearer of the same “accusation” and is subject to “arrest”, as 68-year-old Vagif Khachatryan “deserves” inhumane treatment.
Isn’t it clear that it is hopeless to expect a humane
attitude towards our abducted citizens from Azerbaijan? For them, every
resident of Armenia and Artsakh is the bearer of the same “accusation” and is
subject to “arrest”, as 68-year-old Vagif Khachatryan “deserves” inhumane
treatment. Former Human Rights Defender (Ombudsman) of Armenia Arman Tatoyan
made a Facebook post on this.
“Even now, with a cynical intention, they have published
footage of the suffering of a helpless 68-year-old person surrounded by 4 armed
police officers in order to spread that state of mind and hopelessness in his
family and in the Armenian society.
It is obvious what conditions Vagif Khachatryan is in during
these 4 months, being far from his family, homeland, in an atmosphere of fear,
subjected to sufferings in Azerbaijani captivity.
This is the picture we appeared in, and this is the sad situation; people who
are responsible for this, unfortunately, do not accept their guiltiness.
It was necessary to do everything so that Vagif Khachatryan and our other
compatriots would not end up in Azerbaijani captivity, would not be in such a
humiliated state that Azerbaijan would also enjoy it. The citizen of Armenia,
the Armenian should feel the protection of the state of Armenia.
As long as there are Azerbaijani armed servicemen near
villages and towns of Armenia; on the roads, our citizens will continue to be
in danger.
Their criminal acts will continue, as the genocidal policies
of the Azerbaijani authorities continue, as well as the lack of
responsibility,” Tatoyan wrote.
