Due to the increase in the water level in the Danube in Budapest, floods have started in the city center, including outside the parliament building, Index reports.
Prime Minister Viktor Orban said the floods in the capital of Hungary will reach their peak on Saturday, and the water level will remain for about a week. Roads are partially blocked, and navigation is suspended. The energy company MVM Group warned about possible interruptions in gas and electricity supplies. The city of Kisoroszi, a part of the Budapest metropolitan area, was completely cut off due to floods.
